ITI’s 2021 Industry Awards Program

ITI's Annual Industry Awards Program is designed to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of our member companies and highlight the incredible work that they do. Honorees will be selected based on their company’s contributions to advancing innovation worldwide and raising the profile of the tech industry.

This year we will be honoring members in the following categories:

ITI Tech Impact Award

This award is offered in recognition of a member company that has been a game changer in tech policy advancement and has played a major role in how tech is positively viewed in today’s society.

  • Strong visibility on tech policy and advocacy matters

  • Played a significant role in advancing a tech policy agenda within the past year

  • Developed strategic partnerships and relationships to advance tech policy and amplify the voice of the industry

Environmental Steward Award

This award is offered in recognition of a member company that has been a game changer in domestic or international environmental policy, energy efficiency, green procurement, product stewardship, or sustainability.

  • Strong visibility on environmental tech matters

  • Played a significant role in advancing an environmental tech policy agenda within the past year

  • Played critical role in promoting global sustainability efforts by improving the environmental, energy, and performance characteristics of their products

International Advocacy Award

This award is offered in recognition of a member company that demonstrates a record of international policy outside the United States that fosters the exchange of innovation, education, and awareness.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to building international relationships and fostering international partnerships to advance the tech sector

  • Played a significant role in advancing an international tech policy agenda within the past year

  • Strong visibility on international tech policy matters

Corporate Social Responsibility Award

This award is offered in recognition of a member company that has developed and executed initiatives aimed at improving the working and/or living conditions of the people and businesses impacted by tech industry work.

  • Developed an initiative to address a specific need identified in the local community or abroad

  • Developed a creative initiative in which a large impact is made with a small investment

  • Engaged and/or invested into philanthropic and charitable causes

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award

This award is offered in recognition of a member company that has developed and executed initiatives aimed at advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within and outside their organization regarding hiring and training, STEM education, policy development, and community engagement.

  • Implemented creative and inclusive work policies to support the needs of a diverse staff

  • Supported inclusive and/or diversity related educational and professional development opportunities

  • Played a significant role in advancing a DEI policy agenda within the past year

Eligibility Requirements

  • Company has been a member of ITI for at least one year.
  • Companies can only apply to one award per category per year.
  • Only the first submission will be counted for consideration.
  • Program, initiative, or activity must have occurred within the past year (September 2020 - Present).

Judging of the Awards Program

The Judging Committee will be chaired by Tim Regan. Tim is a former ITI Chairman and Board member from Corning. The committee members are Hillary Brill, Principal and Founder, HTB Strategies and Senior Fellow at Georgetown Law Center's Institute for Technology Law & Policy; Alexandra Reeve Givens, President & CEO, Center For Democracy & Technology; Dr. Nicol Turner Lee, Fellow – Governance Studies, Center for Technology Innovation, Brookings; Scott Wallsten, President and Senior Fellow, Technology Policy Institute.
