WASHINGTON – Global tech trade association ITI announced today that Lara Muldoon will join the organization as Senior Director, Government Affairs, where she will lead ITI’s outreach to Congress on U.S. tax policy and related issues.
“As the U.S. seeks to maintain an internationally competitive tax system, Lara’s deep expertise will provide important value for our member companies,” said Jason Oxman, ITI’s President and CEO. “Her extensive experience in government and tax policy background will enhance our advocacy and inform policies that promote growth and innovation.”
Muldoon most recently served as the Senior Tax and Economic Advisor for Senate Finance Committee Member Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), covering tax and financial services issues. Prior to that, she served as Senior Economic Advisor to Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). Muldoon served for eight years as Assistant Director of Finance for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York. She has also served as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and as a Senior Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Legislative Affairs.
