WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association ITI commended President Biden on taking action to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement. ITI, whose members represent the world’s most innovative technologies from hardware to software to cloud, has supported the Paris Climate Agreement since it was first adopted at COP 21 in Paris in 2015.

Climate change is among the most real and urgent threats that the world faces today,” said Jason Oxman, ITI President and CEO. “By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden is ensuring that the United States will again be able to participate in, lead, and help to combat this threat. President Biden also rightly recognizes that tackling climate change and creating jobs are not mutually exclusive. Technology is at the forefront of promoting economic growth and combating climate change through innovative clean energy solutions, science, and research. We look forward to working closely with the Biden-Harris Administration and other partners to ensure that U.S. remains a leader in climate solutions, environmental justice, and innovation.”
