WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association ITI issued the following statement from its President and CEO Jason Oxman on the confirmation of Alan Davidson as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information to head the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA):

“ITI congratulates Alan Davidson on his confirmation to lead the National Telecommunications and Information Administration at this critical time. Assistant Secretary Davidson’s agency will be instrumental in implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s broadband provisions and ensuring all Americans are able to benefit from a well-connected online economy, including access to healthcare services and education. NTIA also plays a pivotal role in improving coordination on federal spectrum policy and bolstering federal privacy efforts.
