Washington, D.C. (March 22, 2012) – Today Dean Garfield, President and CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), issued the following statement after the Senate vote on the JOBS Act.

“The JOBS Act allows for start-ups to grow stronger much faster, which in turn leads to job creation. At a time when our national economy and morale is in need of a jumpstart, the bipartisan support of the JOBS Act gives us hope that we canwork across party lines to develop legislation that will aid our economic recovery,” Garfield said.  “As the Act advances into the House, we look forward to a quick approval process from both sides. Only by working together will we be able to build our nation back up and tackle other looming concerns such as immigration reform, cybersecurity, and tax extenders. These pressing issues all have the same potential to play a role in restoring America as a leader in stability and prosperity.”
