WASHINGTON – Today, global technology trade association ITI commended the Biden-Harris Administration’s new effort to advance climate solutions and job growth through innovation, including through investments in research and development and the launch of an Advanced Research Projects Agency-Climate (ARPA-C).

“ITI supports the Biden-Harris Administration’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and commends the administration’s science-focused approach to combating the real and urgent threat of climate change,” said ITI President and CEO Jason Oxman. “The technologies developed by our industry will play a critical role in reducing carbon emissions and will help other sectors reduce their climate impacts, too. Accelerating investments in research and development and prioritizing efforts to advance clean energy innovations at the federal level will help drive job growth, protect public health in all communities, increase resilience to natural disasters, and better sustain the global environment. Our industry’s innovators, scientists, and employees stand ready to work with leaders in the U.S. to advance equitable climate solutions and innovations worldwide.”
